Prepare to be wowed by professional teeth whitening that really works

Leave your frustrations and disappointments with commercially available teeth whitening kits and products in the past. Look forward to professional teeth whitening that really works at our office in Orland Park, Illinois.

Why does professional teeth whitening at Dental Arts of Orland work?

As a licensed and highly qualified dentist, Dr. Scott Lang has access to powerful whitening gels. These gels contain the right active ingredients to remove stains and lighten the color of teeth effectively. Such powerful products are also sufficiently concentrated with these proven ingredients. Often, the products you buy online or at the drugstore tend to get little to no results because they do not contain active ingredients like hydrogen peroxide and carbamide peroxide. And, two, they frequently are not sufficiently concentrated with these ingredients, so they are simply not strong enough to make a real difference in the color and look of your teeth.

How fast can I whiten my teeth?

That depends on the type of whitening treatment recommended for you and what you prefer. We carry products made by a leading professional teeth whitening brand, Opalescenceโ„ข. These systems are made for either “in-office” use or for use at home. Office whitening gets the fastest results, while home whitening still gets great results โ€“ but those results are revealed gradually with consistent treatment.

How does office whitening work?

Effortlessly! If we determine that you are a good candidate for this service, set aside around an hour for your appointment. Dr. Lang isolates your teeth during your appointment and protects the surrounding tissues. He then evenly and precisely applies the medical-grade whitening gel to the teeth. The true power of the gel is unlocked with a special light. Once the light has been activated, the ingredients within the gel go to work to break up and remove stains. For best results, you may need one or two additional whitening treatments.

What is involved with home whitening?

Here again, the process is easy, and many of our patients like the ability to whiten on their own schedules, from the comfort of home. Generally, these “take-home” systems involve wearing special oral appliances or trays that fit precisely over your teeth. Before placing the trays in your mouth, you will fill them with the whitening gel as instructed by our Dental Arts of Orland team. Be sure to wear the gels for the required time and as directed by Dr. Lang. When worn properly and consistently, day by day, you will notice that your teeth look increasingly whiter, healthier, and more vibrant.

How can I keep my teeth stain-free?

There are many things you can do to keep the dazzling results from either in-office or home whitening. We encourage you to avoid or minimize staining foods, beverages, products, and habits โ€“ that includes everything from smoking and chewing tobacco, to excessive consumption of tea and coffee. One of the best things you can do is maintain regular checkups. During these visits to our office, our hygienists will professionally clean your teeth to remove surface stains. This important hygiene service prevents stains from building up. Of course, we can also provide you with “touch-up” whitening gels as needed during your visits or schedule another whitening treatment as necessary.
